I will also say I doubt plot holes have anything to do with the ending because this ending doesn't resolve any. And the need for a JoJo has ended, hence why Joylene is now Irene. And on top of that, because the gang died before they are more or less reborn into better lives.

But without Pucci to cause the events of part 6, those events don't happen. Which based on how MiH works is still the same universe.
